The Band (Ages 11-18)

St Peter's Church, Church Street, Oundle PE8 4EE

10:30-11:30AM, every Sunday

If you're in School Years 7 to 9, then this is the place for you. We meet on Sunday mornings during the main church service (10.30-11.30AM). We aim to have fun, get to know each other and, as we learn together from the Bible - help each other to become Jesus' followers. This often involves eating chocolate. Of course we don't just meet on Sundays. We often get together for film nights, or ten-pin bowling, or safari suppers.

Re-inventors of global sounds, rewriters of rulebooks and winners of the Royal Over-Seas League Competition 2017, Kabantu (previously Project Jam Sandwich) is a five-piece band hailing from Manchester who unravel new marriages of music from around the globe to celebrate the space where different cultures meet. Vocal harmonies from South Africa coalesce with everything from Celtic reels to Brazilian samba and beyond. They have performed all over the UK including the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, BBC Free Thinking Festival at Sage Gateshead, BBC Radio 3 In Tune, Bridgewater Hall, Celtic Connections and Cambridge Folk Festival.
